Minerva Chronograph 1335 Caliber 13-20CH $2595

A rare and highly sought after Minerva "Waterproof" chronograph model number 1335 in all original condition.  A long running family business, the Minerva watch company found it fame after releasing this caliber movement 13-20CH (13 (Ligne/size) 20 (caliber number)) in 1923 and continued to successfully produce high grade timing watches for decades to come. Here we have a beautiful example in high grade stainless steel case with round pushers, a direct competitor to the Rolex Oyster chronograph models of the same era.

Circa: 1940's

Case: Solid stainless steel 2-piece screw back case with round chronograph pushers and original crown.  Measures 35mm in diameter and comes on an 18mm wide black leather strap.  On the back we find the 12 sided key pattern,  model reference number 1335 and stainless steel stamp.  Inside the back  is signed Miverva Watch Co. Swiss.  

Dial: Original factory printed dial with bold orange luminous numbers and outer tachymeter track, signed Minvera Waterproof, Shock-Absorber.  Overall excellent condition with some minor spotting and fading toward the outer ring.  All 5 hands are original and in beautiful blue steel, also excellent condition.  It is possible the luminous on the dial and hands of this watch were re-applied at some point, but if so it is a very good job and tough to tell from the original as you can see in the pictures.

Movement:  In house engineered and crafted Minerva caliber 13-20CH manual wind movement in beautiful cosmetic condition, signed Miverva Watch Co. Swiss, 17 Jewels, Unadjusted.  Column wheel design, breguet overcoil hairspring and shock protected balance.  Fully serviced by our watchmaker with all functions working well.
